Camper 2015 - Kieran

The experiences this camp gave me, the stunning TRUTH of the talks, the holiness of the speakers, and the environment of love for Christ exuded by the students around me is something that I can't believe I almost missed. Because it did make a difference. After the camp I am such a different person it's startling to me. My prayer life has taken off, what with Liturgy of the Hours, much more Adoration, a deep understanding of Christ in the Eucharist during Mass, and the knowledge that prayer isn't a numeric account of quantity and quality of prayers offered - it's a relationship with God. As far as the willingness to talk about God among the non-Catholics I know, it's an amazing transformation...

I LOVE talking about God with them now, and love trying to find "conversation starters" like t-shirts and medals that reference God, Jesus, Mary, or even this camp. Adoration and the fireside chats. After hearing Jim's talks on prayer, Adoration changed completely for me, and I can't thank him enough for opening up to me this wondrous gift from God. The fireside chats were absolutely, incredibly, amazingly awesome. Seriously, the reinforcement of the days events that these chats had was invaluable, and the getting to know all the speakers in a very personal way, AND being able to ask them any questions I had was my favorite part of camp.
